WACA
The Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Ground was officially opened in 1893 with the first match played on the turf wickets in February 1894.
The ground has a significant place in the social and cultural history of Perth and has hosted a range of sports and events including athletics, AFL, baseball, soccer, rugby league, rugby union and major rock concerts. The stadium is home to the state cricket team, the Western Warriors, the state women’s side Western Fury and the Big Bash franchise, the Perth Scorchers.
The WACA Museum housed onsite displays the history of cricket and other sports played at this famous ground. Tours are conducted twice daily, taking in the ground and Museum collection.
